Today is my 24th wedding anniversary! Such a monumental event has caused me to be a bit introspective. Of course, I've thought about all of the major events in the past 24 years...babies, weddings, grandbabies; broken bones, stitches, fillings; vacations, camp, senior trips... There have also been difficult times. But I will not list the difficulties because they pale in the light of the amazing life my husband and I have forged together.
As I look back, I see the ups and downs and the challenges we've faced. However, instead of a difficult and rough path, I see the beauty and peace of a life lived together in God's presence. It is a wonderful thing to see that God's mercy covers all of those hard places with the sweet peace of forgetfulness and love. Oh, yes, I could draw out memories that could lead to bitterness, but I've no desire to do so. My family is too important to bring negativity into our lives.
Would I do it again? Yes. Without question. Watching my husband become a godly man who honors his family and loves us unconditionally has shown me God's grace in action. I look forward to see what is in store for our future together and I know that, no matter the situation, we will face it with God as our guide and Christ in our hearts.
Happy anniversary, my love! I can't wait for the next 24 years with you!

My First Post
I have wanted to blog for a long time, and I decided that it is as good a time as any to begin. I hope to build a blog that will be interesting, inspiring, and inspirational. I have taught for 26 years, and I enjoy sharing what I've learned with my students. I plan to use this blog to share things I've discovered about life, art, and literature. I'm sure the process will be slow in the beginning, but as I learn about the process of posting and sharing, I hope my circle of followers will grow and that I will learn as much from them as they can from me.
So, as they say...the adventure begins!
